THE WORKFLOW

The editing loop, reduced to the parts that move the cut forward.

AlcorVideo is not presented as complete Adobe Premiere Pro feature parity. Version 0.1 is a working nonlinear editor foundation built around local media, direct manipulation, and portable project state.

  1. 01

    Import

Bring in video, audio, and still images directly from local storage. Files are represented by temporary browser URLs and are not sent to Alcor Industries.

  2. 02

    Arrange

Place media on V1, V2, and A1. Drag clips in time, trim either edge, split at the playhead, and stack visual layers.

  3. 03

    Refine

Adjust timing, speed, opacity, volume, and title styling from the inspector, with keyboard shortcuts and undo history.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Render a WebM in compatible browsers or export an AlcorVideo project manifest for later relinking and continued work.

SHIPPING IN 0.1

A usable editor today, with a clear path to the deeper toolset.

Timeline

Multi-track editing

V1, V2, and A1 tracks with move, edge trim, snap, select, delete, and split operations.

Media

Local asset bin

Video, audio, and image imports stay in the browser session. Relink by filename after opening a saved project.

Graphics

Title overlays

Text, position, size, color, background, start time, and duration controls for simple on-screen graphics.

Control

Clip inspector

Start, duration, source in-point, playback speed, volume, opacity, and mute controls.

Safety

Undo and portable state

Undo/redo history, browser autosave, and a human-readable JSON project format that never embeds the original media.

Output

Browser rendering

Canvas and MediaRecorder export to WebM where the browser supports it, with a fail-closed compatibility check.

Next depth:transitions, proxy media, waveform generation, keyframes, captions, color tools, nested sequences, hardware-accelerated desktop packaging, and broader codec export.

QUESTIONS

What the first release is—and is not.

Is this a complete Premiere Pro replacement?

No. It is a working nonlinear editor MVP with core timeline operations and local rendering. The page names the shipped surface and the roadmap separately.

Does Alcor Industries receive my footage?

No. The browser demo uses local object URLs. Your media is not uploaded by AlcorVideo. Exported project manifests contain edit metadata and filenames, not the media bytes.

What can I export?

Compatible desktop browsers can render the canvas timeline through MediaRecorder, typically as WebM. Codec support varies by browser, so the editor checks capability before starting.

What does the $200 license cover?

It grants the purchasing person or business entity commercial use of the delivered AlcorVideo release on devices they control. Redistribution of the editor is not included.
